The year 1397 can be described in one word; a year full of challenges. It was a year that we had to put aside models and old made paths and make new paths and solutions and start over again. In fact this year was the year of trying new methods of management.
One of the most important problems in 1397 was that fundraising, specially foreign capital, was harder.
Albeit we in Reyhoon could make our way with more limited financial sources because we had anticipated this crisis and optimized the process and costs.
This hard situation made many businesses to show their deficits. Thus both hard situation and internal weaknesses of some startups caused them to fail.
We would make next year based on what we have learned from the year 1297 and the most important lesson trying hard and believing in what we are.
Also we shouldn’t forget that businesses are launched to solve a problem or meet a need. Thus we should look for needs with open eyes and launch business based on needs.
The hard situation of fundraising would continue in the next year, but I think despite such situation, if an exciting story exists, definitely there are people who want to listen to these stories and decide to be a part of this story.
But such a story should consider all the details and think about investor’s concerns.
Another thing that each business should manage well and carefully during the next year is management of costs. Costs should be addressed based on needs and businesses should move forward according to opportunities not passion.
Although there are some predictions about problems and hard times in 1398, I see this year full of excitement and I think those who move forward with passion of life would be successful not those who live with a fear of death.
Thus I think we can look forward to successful models in different areas in the new year.
For example successful models of delivery FMCG and also we would probably see innovations in payment methods. In general I think the year 1398 would be much better than the past year.
